Alan Maxson as Blade
In Axis Termination and Iron Cross, Blade was played by suit performers in some scenes. In the newest movie Blade was played by Alan Maxson . Alan has also played two other roles in the movie, he had played the 'Hall Zombie' that attacks Muller and also one of the busy workers at the Daily Herald. We thank Alan for sending us these great behind the scenes pictures!
The Littlest Reich sequel possibly canceled
There was a sequel/prequel planned called Aryans Ahoy to The Littlest Reich and it was announced officially at a panel with the writer, but since there has been some trouble with the company Cinestate and them no longer partnering with Fangoria, then it may look like that the sequel will never get made. I think that those puppets and the movie was just a one-off thing and we wont be seeing them ever again. It is possible the deal with FullMoon had also been lost after this situation.

Here is the song playing while Rick battles Tunneler, Pinhead and his robots during a laser tag session.
Puppet Master replicas i'm intending to make
Puppet Master is a great film series since 1989, I first encountered the film series in 2018 and grown fond of it, but seeing people creating custom replicas that a few are shown via the wiki, I have the intention of making them myself.
So far the first 5 puppets, Six-Shooter, Blade, Tunneler, Jester, and Pinhead, will start with custom and unique designs based on depictions they would resemble in a realistic fashion, but further on in the future, they will receive their original attires and designs:
Blade:
Blade's design name is referred to as "Switchblade", the design has a skull head with rotting hair with the clothing similar to the remake Blade, notably the skull-headed one, but with the floppy hat to match, the most altered part is th…
David Schmoeller's retirement ceremony
Here is a video of director David Schmoeller (Puppet Master 1989) and his retirement ceremony. Puppet Master is mentioned in his career and he is even presented a Blade trophy by Tom Devlin (Puppet Master: Axis Rising). This Blade shaped trophy is apparently going to be given out to other students at the college as well.
Original post:
Tonight director David Schmoeller (Puppet Master 1989) had retired from his film professor job at UNLV University. Tom Devlin (Axis Rising & Termination) had awarded him with a one of a kind bronze Blade trophy in honor of his retirement.
30th Anniversary Torch replica
A closer look at the 30th Anniversary Torch replica. Full Moon didn't really do a good job on promoting this beautiful piece and they didn't really showcase a lot of images of it. Photos curtosy of Mike Paradine jr.

So if you are unable to watch the live streams then this post will try and keep you up to date.
Casting Session
Character details: DETECTIVE JOE GRAY

Axis Rising Tunneler heads
It is said that Charles Band didn't like Gage Munster's Tunneler design for the Axis of Evil film, so when they came around to do Axis Rising then Tom Devlin had to make a new Tunneler head from scratch. The early prototype design he was making didn't make it into the final movie, but it seems to be heavily based on the Terry Cruikshank replica. Devlin stated in the last hour he was sent a copy of the original Tunneler head to be used. It is unclear if the head used in the final movie is actually a copy of the original Tunneler head, most fans agree that it resembles more of the a head that was created by a fan named Rolo, which he had stated that he had sculpted it from scratch. It is most likely to be the Rolo head.
The Littlest Reich figurines rumour
During the production of The Littlest Reich, they had Skeeter Jenkins and Barbara Crampton pose in a room full of cameras. It was hinted that they did this so that they could photograph them from every angle and then turn them into action figures. It looks like that these figurines may not be happening after all. It could be that the movie didn't bring in as much money as they originally had hoped for.
Jester at MonsterPalooza
Puppet Master fans would have a lot of fun at the American MonsterPalooza convention from this month, because here was a screen-used Jester prop on display. It was at the Profiles-In-History booth and I don't know if this means that they also auctioned him off there, as they are usually an auction company. The prop seems to be the one that was formally at the Florida Universal Studios museum. Also at the convention was Kenneth J Hall, who wrote the original movie and Tate Steineik, who created the Littlest Reich puppets. The convention was also located in Pasedna, which I believe is the same area that they filmed the original movie.
David Pabian on Puppet Master II
Puppet Master II's script writer David Pabian has awnsered some questions on the Puppet Master forum.
Q: Why was Leech Woman killed off?
- David Pabian:
- Charlie Band didn't think she worked as a character (reasons erased from my banks) and wanted her offed. He obviously reconsidered later or fans reconsidered for him or Ms Leech made a personal appeal with skeletal evidence from some Full Moon closet, but a new contract was drawn up and she triumphantly returned to work.
Q: Why was Andre Toulon evil?
- David Pabian:
- Andre Toulon had a switch from good to evil during the years of decomposing. A nice Toulon didn't interest me and I thought post-death decomposition might have a few side-effects, both physical and emotional (setting off a controversy st…
Original Tunneler prop on EBay
Who will be lucky enough to own this prop? $10,000.00.

Original Leech Woman prop in bad condition
Original Leech Woman prop has surfaced on EBay. It seems to be using the head from the leech vomiting scenes. It also has an original body with feet and hands that were also screen-used. The prop is in very bad shape and is crumbling apart. The dress she is wearing is from the Faust exposition in the second movie, the female puppet in the performance is wearing it.

R.I.P John Carl Buechler
We lost the great makeup effects artist and director today. John is the reason that I got into movies. I would watch Troll and Ghoulies on repeat as young as 3 years old and it shaped my interest in monsters, as well as fantasy and science fiction, and just movies in general. I would watch those movies over and over and it would feel me with fear and wonder. I have probably watched Troll every year since I was 4 years old and have introduced it to countless people. I would later find out (when I was 11 years old) that he had also directed Friday the 13th 7 and it became my mission to track down all the movies in order and watch them to eventually get to the one that he made. After that I became a dedicated horror fan. I owe all my film fan…
30th Anniversary Blade replica promo
A new short commercial for the new limited and expensive Blade replica.
The two Blade heads
When Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys came out in 2004 there was two reasons why the designs of the puppets had to be made from scratch, the first being that Charles Band didn't want SyFy to use his designs and only licensed the basic overall likeness of the characters and the other reason could be that he had sold all the props in an auction around that time so he was unable to use them anyway. I have heard rumors that he had to actually buy back copies of copies of his own props to make the Axis Trilogy.
The Blade puppet in the vs. movie was either sculpted by the great Jeff Farley or another fellow artist on the crew. The head he had made was later used on the original line of replicas. Below in the first picture is an example comparing th…
Unreleased toys
A quick look at all of the unreleased toys and other prototype Puppet Master related merchandise that didn't get released.
There was originally going to be more variants of the 12 inch Blade series. The only ones that were released of the character were a regular and a blood splattered variant. The red variant would have worn a red outfit and have a silver spray painted face, which was a reference to the action figure variant. It was displayed at a toy convention and only one seems to be in existence. The figure also had shiny golden weapons.
Props on display
For those that live in the United States, there is a few museums where you can visit and see an actual Puppet Master prop in a glass case.
There is currently a Jester prop used in the first five movies, including both a surprised and sad head, on display at Disney World, Florida in the a store in a place called Hollywood Studios (I believe).
Blade wind up toy
A few months ago there was a Blade wind up toy that appeared in an EBay listing and many people were curious about the origin of the specimen. It turns out that there is a store in the United States, Washington that is called 'The Great Wind-Up' at 'Pike Place Market' and the store sells custom made wind up toys of all varities and one of them happens to be a homage to Blade.
Did Megan really die?
In the second movie it is stated that the former female owner of the Bodega Bay Inn had been killed and had her brains extracted out through her nose. It is assumed that the former owner was Megan Gallagher as she had been the owner of the building in the previous movie, however it is never explained who killed her and why. The most common theory (which is backed up by Shawn Gabborin, the writer of the Action Lab Comics) is that the puppets had been weak and had either killed Megan a short while after the first movie, or for those who consider Curse taking place in between 1 and 2 that they had returned to the hotel after feeling abandoned by her and got revenge on her, and then used her brains to revive Toulon.
The two problems that stem …

An artist from Japan (Kimuzina Toshikuso) has created these highly detailed Puppet Master figurines.
The finished results of their puppets can be seen at:

Darkest Hour Puppet Master fan film
Two Puppet Master fans by the name of Patrick Delaney and Paul Slooten (Darkest Hour Entertainment) have been hard at work creating 'A Puppet Master Halloween' which is a short and professional-looking, non-profit Puppet Master fan film. Their goal is to make it look better than the last couple of entries and are using their own custom replicas that they have researched in detail and spent great amount of money to make them look as identical to the original movie props as possible. The movie was slated to come out last October, but they were hit with some road blocks and are still planning on completing it and releasing it this October instead.

Tunneler's uniform color
For years the color of Tunneler's uniform has confused people. In most of the original movie's his uniform looks dark blue, but in some scene his uniform looks green, as it also is in poster art, merchandise, and comics. I have heard from people who have asked crew who worked on the movies to confirm the color and some have said green and others, like Chris Endicott have said that it was a dark blue color. I lean more towards the dark blue.
I have noticed in the Halloween and Friday the 13th fan community there has been a similar debate. In the original Halloween movie, Michael Myer's boiler suit appears to be spruce-green and dark blue from scene to scene and most fans have finally come to the conclusion that it is actually a charcoal grey…

Improving the wiki
There is a lot of work that needs to be done on this wiki. I had recently made a poll about putting the TLR puppets on a seperate page to the originals. I have decided to accomplish this with a little tab button at the top of the original puppet's page and when it is clicked it will then convert the page into the reboot information. Right now the tab just changes the infobox with the picture, and that is only temporary. Another thing is alternate costumes of the puppets throughout the movies, that will be in a completely different tab button actually within the infobox itself, below the puppet's photo, though I am new to coding for wikia and will need to learn how to make a template for that.
As for other pages, a lot of them need to be fil…
Six Gun Killer
In the video game 'Overwatch' there is a poster for a fictional western/exploitation movie about a six armed cowboy. I am certain that it is inspired by Six-Shooter. The poster is pretty cool, it makes me wonder how a spin-off movie with him as the solo lead would be.
Tourist Trap music tribute
In the Puppet Master score there is one track that Richard Band had made to directly homage 'Tourist Trap (1977)', which was another Charles Band and David Schmoeller production. A very similar piece of music to this one can be heard throughout the Puppet Master movies.
Revenge of the Red Baron
The German poster for Roger Corman's killer doll movie 'Revenge of the Red Baron (1994)' features the Baron doll with Blade's body and knife and one of Six-Shooter's gun, straight from Toulon's Revenge poster.
New Puppet Master project in the works?
New Puppet Master movie coming in 2020. It will be a solo Blade movie and directed by the guy who made the last few Killjoy movies.
There was a hint put out recently with the release of this new Blade replica on FullMoonDirect (https://www.fullmoondirect.com/30th-Anniversary-Studio-Series-Blade-Replica_p_1371.html).
In their News Flash segment on the website that said "Also coming soon, Blade will take center-stage as part of the most exciting Full Moon project in years. And while we're still several weeks away from spilling our guts about what that project is, rest assured it's something the fans have been screaming for and it's something every serious Full Moon aficionado will approve of. So sit tight and keep checking back here on our wee…
Axis Six-Shooter heads
In both Axis Rising and Axis Termination artist Tom Devlin had created a brand new Six-Shooter head from scratch for them to use in the movie, but both times Charles Band had disliked the head sculpt and just used Terry Cruikshank's head (the artist who made the replicas).
Always Sisters Jester
The original doll that was used for Jester (and possibly Tunneler) was an Kenner Always Sister Brtianny doll. The hands and other features were changed but the basic torso and limbs were the same. I believe even Jester's gold shoes were recycled from the doll too.
Product placement puppets
These are some instances where the puppets have gone through design changes in the movies so that it could help sell merchandise to fans.
It is very possible that the only reason that Jester got his new outfit in the 6th movie because it would help sell a variant of the newly made action figures.
Weremacht prototype
A very cool prototype of Weremacht that was built to give an idea of how the character in the movies should look.
Date trouble
When they made the first movie it was to be set in 1939, which was just before the second World War began, but when they had written the second movie they had decided to have a backstory for Toulon in Nazi Germany so the date of his death was shifted to 1941 and can be seen on his tomb stone. The third movie kept with this theme but had set both the events of the movie and his suicide in 1941, while the Eternity Comics has these events in Berlin set in 1938 and his death still in 1939.
The fifth movie has Rick state in his detective interview that Toulon had died shortly AFTER the War and then Retro's intro with Toulon in Switzerland has the date of 1944 placed on it. Then there is Axis of Evil, where even though the characters talk as if i…
Interview with poster artist Lee MacLeod with rare photos
STAUNCH T.V. has recently interviewed the man that created all the FANTASTIC artwork for the early Full Moon and Empire days, and I think this man's work is very under appreciated as even though fans love the posters, we barely hear his name pop up.
Counting the Blades in The Littlest Reich
In the movie Carol Doreski says there were 60 puppets on auction and she estimated that 40 to 45 were in the hotel, and also in the puppet catalog it states that Blade was one of the most common puppets of the Toulon collection, so I think it if fair to say that the majority of those would have been Blades. Here I will try and list all the Blades that are seen in the movie.
According to the catalog there is only one skull / 'Grim Reaper' Blade known to be in existence and is hyped up in the catalog as being the only one being auctioned off and I think it is safe to say that the one that the alcoholic teenager took to the hotel is the only one there. There is also an unfinished version of one in the basement of Toulon's mansion.
All the Andre Toulon actors
This is where I will try to find out who played Andre Toulon in the main roles and even other small segments.
Fan made Jester throne
Two fans by the name of Joe Peters and Javier A Saldarriaga have built a customized version of the throne that Jester sat in during Puppet Master II. The throne was made out of wood carving and it is one of a kind. Joe does not plan to make anymore, but it is a very nice piece.
3D animated Puppet Master fan film
Vehicros, the creator of AndreToulon.com has been working on a short 3D animated Puppet Master fan film. I do not know if he is still continuing to work on this but so far there has been a trailer released. I will update this blog post when there is more details.
