Duval is a French puppeteer that works with Andre Toulon at his theater. Duval is a medical student who helps Afzel heal from his wounds. Duval is murdered by a group of mummies that were resurrected by Sutekh. His spirit was placed into the Dr. Death puppet and he assisted Toulon on taking revenge on the mummies.
Many years later Duval's great-great granddaughter April Duval starts working at the Shady Oaks Senior Living nursing home to track down the Dr. Death puppet. Dr. Death embarks on a killing spree across the nursing home and even crawling inside the corpses of his victims to take control of them. It is unknown why Dr. Death has turned sadistic, it could be that Duval has been trapped inside the puppet for so long that he has turned mad, or that he always had a secret dark side to him. His killing spree ends when April confronts him and says she wants to help him reunite with the other puppets.
